My Story…
I'm running the 2026 Falmouth Road Race — and I couldn't be more excited to share why!
I'm doing this to raise funds and awareness for Spark Kindness — a nonprofit dedicated to inclusivity, compassion, and making sure every single person feels like they belong.
This one is personal…
What you may know is that I am a proud parent of three amazing children. What you may NOT know is that two of my kids live with severe anxiety. I'm not talking about nerves before a big test — I mean the kind of anxiety that turns a grocery run into a crisis, that makes a family gathering feel like a threat, that whispers to my kids that they don't belong in the spaces everyone else moves through freely.
I've watched them freeze. I've watched them withdraw. I've watched them miss out on the moments that should just be fun — because the world doesn't always feel safe when your brain is working against you. You can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone. I've seen it. It changes you.
That's exactly why Spark Kindness matters. They work tirelessly to build communities where isolation simply doesn't exist — where every person is valued, supported, and seen. Where kindness isn't a nice idea, it's the foundation everything is built on. Their work recognizes that how we treat each other has the power to transform both individuals and entire communities.
My kids are why I show up, they are the “Spark” that lights my fire and they are why I'll cross the finish line!
Description
Together, let's support Spark Kindness!
At Spark Kindness, their mission is simple: to build a kind, resilient, and welcoming community where no one feels alone, bullied, unsupported, or unconnected.
Spark was founded in 2010 as a grassroots effort to prevent bullying and cyberbullying. Today, Spark is a community of 9,000+ members! They provide free, accessible educational programs and resources focused on bullying prevention, mental health, and overall well-being. Spark builds awareness around issues and creates positive partnerships that equip families, schools, and communities with the tools to build resilience, foster connection, and create kinder, safer environments for all. Your gift today helps make ALL of this important work possible!
Spark Kindness is thrilled to be a 2026 Falmouth Road Race Charity Partner, and to be part of this special community putting in the miles to do good for the organizations they care about!
