Help John raise money

Thank you for visiting my page, for the support and fundraising donations. I will be running the Falmouth road race for Team End Alz in honor of my Dad, Richard Izzi, as a way to keep his name and memory alive after he passed away this past September 2025 through a difficult and courageous battle with Early-Onset Frontotemporal Dementia at the age of 72.

Running for Team End ALZ this year means so much to me, not only to have the opportunity to raise money for a cause that is important to me, but to represent a group that I now feel so personally connected to. After witnessing first hand the struggles my entire family, and especially my dad, had to endure over these years, raising money and running this race will become a new milestone for all of us. 

I have fond memories of my dad running in Road Races when I was younger and frequently volunteering in Races through the later days of his life. Throughout my life, my Dad always encouraged me to be active and take on new challenges. Running for me has become a way for me to think and reflect on all the memories I shared with my dad throughout my life. I look forward to the moments in my week when I run with my “Rich Izzi” playlist on in my head phones and have him there with me. 

I am now taking on this new challenge of this 7-mile route and the training/challenges that comes along with it. I know my dad will be with me through every mile and appreciate all the support and donations we can get to benefit this cause. I love and miss you dad.
