On May 2, 2026, I lost my grammy, Ada Wall, to Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s doesn’t just affect one person—it impacts entire families, changing relationships and creating a kind of grief that begins long before a goodbye.
My grammy was such an important part of my life. She was driven, fierce, loving, and always there for me. Even as Alzheimer’s took more from her, she continued to try and make to others around her smile or laugh.
I’m running this race in her honor, and in support of everyone who has been affected by Alzheimer’s. This is my way of turning grief into something meaningful—raising awareness, supporting research, and helping other families who are going through the same thing.
