Help Devin raise money

In June 2025, we unexpectedly lost our beloved Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Ajax, after what was supposed to be a routine dental procedure. He was only five years old. Ajax developed devastating complications shortly afterwards, and within less than 48 hours, we had to make the impossible decision to say goodbye.

Anyone who knew Ajax knew he was not just a dog- he was family. Losing him so suddenly left an ache that words still cannot fully capture.

In Ajax’s final hours, MSPCA-Angell was there for us. Their team treated him with skill, urgency, dignity, and compassion. They also cared for us as a family during one of the worst moments of our lives. I will never forget the kindness they showed Ajax when he needed it most.

That experience is why I am running the 2026 Falmouth Road Race in support of MSPCA-Angell.

MSPCA-Angell’s mission is to protect animals, relieve their suffering, advance their health and welfare, prevent cruelty, and work toward a more just and compassionate society. Their work spans emergency and specialty veterinary medicine, adoption, advocacy, community outreach, and direct care for animals who need a second chance.

This mission is deeply personal to me. After losing Ajax, we adopted Ody, a Newfoundland rescue whose gentle temperament reminded us so much of him. Today, we trust MSPCA-Angell with Ody's veterinary care — a reflection of the faith and gratitude we have for the people who helped us through Ajax’s final chapter.

I am running in Ajax’s honor, and I am raising money to help MSPCA-Angell continue providing lifesaving, compassionate care to animals and families across Massachusetts.
