Help David raise money

I am running this race in honor of my father, Martin.  He passed away last summer from Lewy body dementia (LBD), which he had for about 6 years. Although LDB is not Alzheimer's, they are both types of dementia with similar debilitating and progressive cognitive decline. These neurological disorders are ruthless and devastating. My father, a highly intelligent individual, was a mathematics professor at Dartmouth College. Once this disease took hold of him he couldn't do basic arithmetic, mostly did not recognize me, my brothers and my mother, and struggled to have basic conversations During the last 2-3 years prior to his death, my father was a mere shell of his former vibrant self. I try to remember him the way he was before LBD and am running this race in his memory.  This race has additional significance for me -- it will be my first race since Falmouth last summer as I had major back surgery this past spring and am working really hard to be ready for this year's race.
