I'm running the Falmouth Road Race to END ALZ!

Hi Friends! Lacing up my sneaks for one very special Falmouth Road Race in honor of the late, the great, my incredible grandmother….Nancy C. Burns.  

Nancy was a longtime Falmouth resident who LOVED the Falmouth Road Race. She could be found every year at Mile 4 with a home-made poster board sign cheering as loud as a little old lady could for every single runner that passed.

In Nancy’s final years, she battled Alzheimer’s. Her large extended family and friends watched as this horrific disease slowly claimed her memories and ultimately took her from us all. She passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026 at the age of 92. 

Despite her ending, Nancy’s fun-loving spirit, sense of humor and joyful outlook on life is what we all remember most. My hope is that these contributions will help to get one step closer to a cure, preventing just one less family from suffering through the horrific effects of Alzheimer’s disease.
