As a former Cape Cod National Seashore lifeguard, my favorite event we did all summer was Annie’s run. Not only was it the most unique run Cape Cod had to offer it, but knowing what the run stood for to my senior guards who knew Annie Haggerty and the excitement they had for the run pushed you when that seashore sand felt soft. My three years working as a CCNS lifeguard allowed me to create lifelong friendship with individual’s I now view as family. Having the ability to help give back to a program that gave so much to me is an honor! Being a Cape Cod Native, it feels only right to do this race with the Friends of the Cape Cod Seashore!
