Hospice has become incredibly important to me throughout my career as a social worker. Working in the hospital, I saw firsthand how many patients and families could have benefited from hospice support rather than repeated trips in and out of the hospital.
I'm running in honor of the many patients and families I've had the privilege to support over the years. They have taught me so much about resilience, love, and the importance of quality of life.
I'm raising funds and running the Falmouth Road Race to help expand access to hospice care and community resources, and to support education about what hospice really is. Through my work with Old Colony Hospice, I see every day how important it is for people to have access to compassionate care, support, and information when they need it most.

A little bit about Old Colony Hospice...
Old Colony Hospice has been providing compassionate hospice and palliative care since 1979 and serves over 60 Massachusetts cities and towns.
As a free-standing, non-profit, Medicare-certified, accredited healthcare organization, we rely on donations to help support our patient care programs and services not covered by insurance.
Our group of talented nurses, social workers, counselors, volunteers, and hospice aides give their all 100% of the time to provide the very best quality end-of-life care for those patients and families in need. From the moment you contact Old Colony Hospice, you will experience a uniquely personal approach that focuses on caring for patients and families in a specialized way.
Time is a precious gift that we all wish we had more of … with your support, we can continue to provide compassionate hospice care to our patients and their families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days per year.
