My Story…

In August 2025, I lost my boyfriend, Jack, in a motorcycle accident at just 23 years old. Jack graduated college in 2024 and we were just beginning our careers when he found his passion in firefighting and EMS. From the moment he stepped into that world, he gave it everything he had. He worked for Sterling Fire and several EMT companies, dedicating himself to helping others and serving his community. He was only two weeks away from starting the fire academy when he passed — a step he had worked tirelessly toward and was so proud to take.
Jack was incredibly dedicated to his career and the life he was building. He had a deep commitment to protecting others, and his passion for the fire service was evident in everything he did. Beyond that, he loved to run, and in 2025 he proudly ran the Falmouth Road Race himself. Running this race now in his honor feels especially meaningful, as it connects me to something he loved while carrying forward the purpose he lived for.
I am honored to run in support of the Last Call Foundation, whose mission is to provide funding, education, and research to advance the safety needs of the firefighting community. Their commitment to improving firefighter safety and helping protect those who dedicate their lives to protecting others reflects everything Jack stood for.
This race is more than seven miles to me — it’s a way to honor Jack’s legacy, his love for running, and his unwavering dedication to the fire service. Through every step, I’ll be running for Jack, for firefighters, and for the mission of making sure more of them make it home safely
