My Story…
I am 27 years old, live in Boston, and enjoy running alongside my dog. Professionally, I work for a blood donation center, and personally, I have a deep connection to the lupus community. Multiple members of my family have lupus. In addition, I have been under the care of a rheumatologist for several years and currently have a diagnosis of undifferentiated connective tissue disease while being treated with hydroxychloroquine, a medication commonly used for lupus.
After spending the past five years navigating the challenges of obtaining a more definitive diagnosis and witnessing the impact autoimmune diseases have had on my loved ones, I have become incredibly passionate about advancing lupus research, improving treatments, and supporting those affected by the disease. The opportunity to fundraise on behalf of the Lupus Foundation of New England while participating in the Falmouth Road Race is incredibly meaningful to me. Any contribution is greatly appreciated 💜
