Welcome to my 2026 ASICS Falmouth Road Race Page!
When I was a kid, I remember driving down to the cape to watch my father Ara Aftandilian run the Falmouth road race. It became an annual trip, sometimes with our entire family, other times just him and I. For those who knew Ara, he spent his life exercising. After his first of three brain surgeries, he was told to wait 6 weeks before he could run again. He printed out a calendar and circled that date, waiting until he could run again. From the Pan Mass Challenge to the Boston Marathon, he showed me the importance of physical activity and pushing myself past my limits.
In 2019, my father was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a brain cancer that is the most aggressive and one of the deadliest forms of cancer out there. Despite his terminal diagnosis, he continued to run as much as he could. In August of 2021, he passed away.
I am honored to be running this race in his name. 100% of your donation will go to the National Brain Tumor Society. Thank you for the support!
