My Story…

Hey Everyone! On August 16th this year I’m running the 7-mile Falmouth Road Race in support of the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation and my goal is to raise $1500 for the foundation by race day. 


The foundation was established to honor the life and legacy of Glen Doherty, a retired Navy SEAL who was one of four Americans killed during the terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012. Glen was posthumously awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his service and sacrifice to our nation.


The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation helps current and former Special Operations personnel and their families successfully transition from military service to civilian careers. Through scholarships for college, vocational training, and professional development, the foundation provides opportunities that empower them to build successful futures after their service.


Every donation, no matter the amount, helps provide educational and career opportunities to members of our Special Operations community and helps preserve the legacy of those who have made extraordinary sacrifices for our country.

The GDMF has awarded 135 scholarships totaling over $1million to date!  With your donors' help we can provide more scholarships to Special Ops soldiers and help them successfully transition to civilian life.  Thank you so much.  A donation of any amount goes a long way!
