Growing up, mental health support wasn't a luxury for me — it was a lifeline. During my teenage years, access to caring professionals and a community that showed up for me made all the difference in my development, my safety, and honestly, my life trajectory. I can't imagine navigating high school without it.

But I was lucky. I had resources that a lot of young people in Boston simply don't have.

That's why I'm running the Falmouth Road Race this August to support YouthConnect — an organization that brings mental health services (and other essential resources) directly to young people who need them most. According to YouthConnect, 65-70% of youth who have been involved in the juvenile justice system have a diagnosable mental health disorder. I firmly believe that kids who end up in juvie aren’t bad kids — they’re just kids who ran out of options and made bad decisions out of necessity. Let’s work together to help YouthConnect raise up our Greater Boston community by providing essential resources to the kids who otherwise wouldn’t have had access. 

Every dollar raised goes toward making sure more teenagers and their families get the trauma-responsive mental health, advocacy, and social services that they need in order to form safer, stronger communities. My goal is to raise $2,000 by August — and I'd be so grateful for your support, at any level.
