My Story…
Hi! My name is Brooklyn and I’m 10 years old! I’m really excited because I’m running the Falmouth Road Race to raise money for Girls on the Run!
I love playing lacrosse and running a lot. Being active is super fun for me, and I like trying to get better and stronger. When I see other kids doing cool things, it makes me want to try my best too!
When I found out I could run this race to help Girls on the Run, I really wanted to do it. I think all girls should feel happy, confident, and make good friends. Girls on the Run helps girls do that, and I think that’s really awesome.
I’m so excited for this race. It might be hard, but I’m excited to try my best and finish it! It makes me feel really good knowing I’m helping other girls too.
If you can, please donate to my fundraiser. Even a little bit helps Girls on the Run help more girls like me!
Thank you for cheering me on! It means a lot to me, and I’m really excited to cross the finish line!
Description
Girls on the Run is more than a running program. Through GOTR's program, trained coaches implement the research-based curriculum that builds lifelong healthy habits. Girls learn the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of physical activity, as well as tools for navigating the challenges of adolescence. Each season concludes with a 5K event where the girls run at their own pace, giving them a sense of achievement and a framework for setting and achieving life goals.
