My Story…
In true Michaela fashion, this is completely last minute, but feels like it was meant to be.
As you might know, my father-in-law passed away from Parkinson’s in October, so this is a cause that is close to the heart. Watching the progression of Parkinson’s is heartbreaking. The disease affects not only the person diagnosed, but their entire family and support system.
The Falmouth Road Race is less than two weeks away, and my friend had an extra bib on her team. When I found out her team was fundraising for Parkinson’s, how could I not?!
I am certainly not a runner.. and i didnt plan on a 7 mile run for my weekend plans.. But I am really grateful for the opportunity to do something that feels meaningful and to honor my father-in-law in the process.
So here I am, about to run the Falmouth Road Race, hopefully without regret after mile 1.
If you’d like to support me, any donation, big or small, would mean so much. More importantly, it will help support Parkinson’s research, resources, and the families who are still living with this disease.
I’m running for my father-in-law, for our family, and for everyone who has been affected by Parkinson’s.
Thank you for cheering me on!
