Wonderfund is…

A private non-profit organization that works on behalf of the more than 35,000 children engaged with the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families. We provide comfort, dignity, and enrichment to children who have experienced trauma.

We invest in DCF-engaged youth by providing enrichment opportunities and access to emergency aid and transitional necessities.

Enrichment opportunities like our annual holiday gift drive, foster family events, and enrichment grant program help kids be kids. We invest in moments– things like music lessons, SAT prep, and soccer camp. These moments build foundational life skills, strengthen community connections, and encourage friendships and joy. 

Emergency Aid resources provide comfort for thousands of children who experience home removal every year, often with only the clothes on their back. Wonderfund supplies every child in Massachusetts experiencing home removal with a duffel bag filled with seasonally appropriate clothing, hygiene products, and a gift card to purchase any additional products that bring comfort.

You can help us change the trajectories of children’s lives. You can let these special children know that they matter. You can empower a timid kid to play sports, take dancing lessons, or learn martial arts. You can open the door for kids to reach their potential through SAT prep classes, school trips, or going to STEM camp. You can help us provide children coming into emergency foster care with new pajamas, underwear, comfort items, culturally appropriate food and other essentials.
