Description
With three campuses in Dorchester, Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy is one of the largest accredited Catholic elementary schools in the Northeast and the largest elementary school in the Archdiocese of Boston. We enroll 1,100 boys and girls from Toddlers through Grade 8 from low- and moderate- income families.
All are welcome: 45% of SJPIICA students are non-Catholic. Fifty-one percent of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch and more than 20 students have no permanent home. We are proud to note that 100% of Grade 8 students graduate, with most attending local Catholic high schools.
Your donation will support financial aid to children attending our Columbia, Lower Mills, and Neponset campuses. The Academy provides a high-quality, Catholic education primarily to low- to moderate-income children, mostly children of color (77%). Sixty percent of students live in Dorchester/Mattapan, 15% live in other Boston neighborhoods.
SJPIICA's mission to support students in a safe, nurturing, structured and culturally diverse environment goes beyond classroom walls. Families and the local community are integral partners with our three schools in the educational and life success of our students, as each child grows to become a responsible global citizen.
On behalf of our students, thank you for supporting tuition assistance throughout the Academy and our amazing team of runners!
