The YMCA of Greater Boston was founded back in 1851 as the very first Y in the country! Since then, we’ve been all about strengthening our community—focusing on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility every step of the way.

As one of Greater Boston’s leading nonprofits, we’re here to help every child and teen reach their full potential, boost the health and well-being of our neighborhoods, and create meaningful ways for people to give back and support one another. At the Y, we’re building a true sense of belonging for everyone who walks through our doors.

In 2024 alone, thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we delivered over $5 million in free or subsidized programs and services to thousands of kids, families, and individuals across Greater Boston. That’s a lot of impact—and it’s all because of donors like you.

And speaking of amazing supporters—our rockstar team of runners in the Falmouth Road Race is lacing up and hitting the pavement to fundraise for the Y! Their dedication, energy, and heart help power life-changing programs and open doors for those who need us most.
