Help Ryan raise money

Brenda wanted nothing more than to help people. Even in the hospital, even while fighting for her own life, she found the strength to sit with other patients and walk them through their hardest moments. That was who she was. She always hoped that something good could come out of her battle with cancer, and in the way she cared for the people around her, it did.

If you talked to Brenda at any point over the last two years, she would tell you, without fail, that her son was running a marathon. It didn't matter if it was actually a 5km race. In her eyes it was a marathon, because that's how proud she was of him. She would tell you her daughter was the most beautiful girl in the world. And more than anything, she would tell you that all she wanted was time with her grandsons, Lincoln and Jackson.

For these past two years, through everything, she held onto hope. She wanted to help anyone she could. She chose to stay positive and to see the good in everything, even when it would have been so easy not to.

In an effort to honor Brenda, she hoped something good comes out of this, I've decided to dedicate this marathon to fundraising in her name. Please join me as we honor Brenda walker.
