Join the Color It Blue "Move"ment: Walk, Run or Hike for our Cause

This April, take a small step that creates a powerful ripple by joining Brave Step’s annual Virtual Walk/Run, part of our Color It Blue “Move”ment during Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Color It Blue is about more than awareness ... it’s about movement, conversation and community action. When we move together, we show survivors and loved ones they are not alone while helping communities become more informed, compassionate and ready to prevent harm.

Whether you walk, run or hike, every step matters.

You can participate in two ways:

• Join the Virtual Walk/Run - Move anytime during April — wherever you are, however movement fits into your day.
• Join us in person — April 25 at 11 a.m. ET at Matthews United Methodist Church - Gather with our community as we walk and run together in support of survivors and prevention.

Ways to Color It Blue and Amplify the Ripple:

• Team Up in Blue: Gather friends, family, coworkers, or classmates to form a team and move together in coordinated blue outfits.
• Wear the Message: Add blue accessories - ribbons, socks, face paint or bracelets - to visually show your commitment and spark conversation.
• Speak Up & Share: Post your Color It Blue “Move”ment on social media using #ColorItBlue, #SAAM, and #BraveStep.
• Create the Ripple: Challenge three friends to join you. Encourage your circle to learn, engage and take action in their own communities.

Here's how it works...

	Register for the Walk/Run. The cost is $20 with all proceeds benefiting Brave Step's programs.
	Run, walk or hike a 5K (3.1 miles) between April 1 and April 30, 2026. Or join us April 25 at 11 a.m. ET at Matthews United Methodist Church to gather in person.
	Submit your time into the Virtual Results. We'll even show you how to do it automatically with the ASICS Runkeeper™ Running Tracker App!
