MOUNTAIN BIKING
52 km Geraldine MTB Challenge - A challenging race for more competitive riders. This option has some hills and includes a combination of river and farm tracks, back country roads and awesome single-track riding.
32 km Intermediate MTB Challenge - Still a good workout. This shorter race is alongside the Orari River on purpose-built tracks including some easy single-track riding.
32 km Intermediate MTB Challenge (TEAMS) - This year entrants in the 32km Intermediate MTB Challenge can also enter as a TEAM - see more details below.
18 km Recreational MTB Fun Ride - Designed for family groups and those who want to enjoy their ride without the competitive element. This event utilises the 4WD tracks and easy single-track riding alongside the Orari River.
32 km eBike1 - Just the one distance available. Charge the battery and give it a crack! Male and female category, min age 18 years and over.
1 Please note eBikes must be unmodified, rated under 300 watts and only one battery may be used during the event.
32 km Intermediate MTB Challenge (TEAMS)
- NEW THIS YEAR.
- Entrants can get together with friends/family/work colleagues/whoever to enter as teams of three in addition to entering as an individual for this event.
- There is no additional cost to competitors entering as a team.
- Each team member will be required to complete the full course. The combined times of the three team members will be deemed the team time.
- There are four competitive categories: Open Men / Open Women and Under 18 Men and Under 18 Women. There will be no medals awarded for these categories - just names on a trophy and most important of all, BRAGGING RIGHTS!
- There is a fifth team category for those of you who want to mix things up and team-up with friends/family/work colleagues etc. that do not fit the demographic of the four competitive categories. Labelled as "OTHER" it allows you to mix up your team however you wish - great for families.
RUN / WALK
21 km Half Marathon - Mainly off-road. A picturesque and predominantly flat route along the Orari River trails which will suit both competitive and social runners.
13.8 km Recreational Run - Predominantly off-road along the Orari River trails. A flat sheltered and picturesque route amongst the trees.
5.8km Fun Run/Walk - Perfect for first timers or those who just want to go out and have some fun. Give it a go - we're sure you will be back for more next year!
Your Entry Fee Includes:
- Entry to your nominated event;
- Entry into a Spot Prize Draw. Minor spot prizes will be pre-drawn and can be picked up on race day. The major spot prize (donated by The Cyclery) will be drawn after the last event (if the winner is not at the prize giving, in person, to claim the Major Spot prize when it is drawn there will be a redraw).
- And on completion of the race relax and enjoy a complimentary soft drink and Burger or Sausages from the Lions BBQ
