My Story…
Hello friends and family,
I’m planning to run a little race next Saturday called the Denim Run. In case you weren’t aware, April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Denim Run is a newer nationwide event (there are Denim Marches that have been going on for many years as well) that is meant to honor the survivors of SA.
The race is free to register, so I encourage you to join if you feel so inclined! They do give me the option to raise funds for an organization of my choosing, so anything I’m able to collect will be going directly toward the Joyful Heart Foundation.
If you or anyone you know has been affected by this type of violence and you have a few dollars to spare to support an organization whose mission is “transforming society’s response to sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse, support survivors’ healing, and end[ing] this violence forever” then please follow the prompts to donate.
