Volunteer for Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run
Help welcome the holiday season!
November 29th, 2026 (Bowness Park 8900 48th Ave NW)
Participants get into the holiday spirit with this festive 3.2km event. As they make your way along the course, they will collect special items to fill their stockings with the help of some of Santa's elves! It’s the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season with fun, fitness, and festive treats.

Volunteer Details
All volunteers will need to come to Bowness Park prior to heading to their volunteer location. When you arrive, please Sherri and she will get you what you need for your role, ensure you know what you are to do and try to answer any questions you may have.
VOLUNTER POSITIONS:
Registration & Package Pick-Up
Welcome participants, distribute race packages, answer questions, and help create a smooth check-in experience.
Fire Pit Attendant
Monitor the fire pit area to ensure everyone stays a safe distance from the fire and that the fire remains safe throughout the event.
Stuff Station Volunteers
Welcome participants at your assigned station, cheer them on, and distribute the refreshments or treats provided for your location. Supplies will be provided before the event, and each station is within walking distance from the Start/Finish area.
Course Sweep
Remain behind the final participants on course, ensuring everyone completes the event safely. Notify each Stuff Station when the final participant has passed so volunteers can begin packing up.
Finisher Medals
Congratulate participants as they finish and present each finisher with their medal.
Donut and Apple Cider Station
Serve post-event donuts and apple cider to participants. Mark their bibs with a check mark after so we know they got their donut and apple cider.
Event Tear-Down
Assist with packing up tents, tables, signage, equipment, and supplies and loading it into the truck.
