The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. The Greater East Ohio Area Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association has worked to uplift and empower those facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia across 16 counties through our free care and support services. From Akron to Canton, from the Mahoning Valley to Summit County and every town in between, the Greater East Ohio Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is here to help.
The Greater East Ohio Area Chapter serves 16 counties (Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Holmes, Jefferson, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas and Wayne), making care and support available to 60,000 people with Alzheimer's disease in our chapter area, and an additional 250,000 people affected through their role as caregivers.
