The Saddle Hills Ultra Run starts and finishes at the beautiful Spring Lake Ski Hill in Saddle Hills County. The course features a rugged 20 km loop that winds through scenic equestrian trails and rolling foothills, delivering over 200 m of elevation gain per lap.
Challenging yet rewarding, this off-road course offers sweeping views and a true trail-running experience that’s not to be missed.
Athletes can choose from 20 km, 40 km, or 60 km distances, with solo and relay team options available. The 60 km Ultra consists of three full laps of the 20 km loop.
Whether you’re tackling your first ultra or chasing a big day on the trails, Saddle Hills delivers a tough, honest course in a stunning setting.

- 7:00 AM – Site opens, late kit pickup, and bag drop
- 7:45 AM – Mandatory pre-race briefing
- 8:00 AM – 60km Ultra start (solo and teams)
- 8:15 AM – 40km race start (solo and teams)
- 8:30 AM – 20km race start
- 9:00 AM – 10km race start
- ~11:00 AM – First finishers expected
- 12:00 PM – Post-race BBQ & festivities begin
- 5:00 PM – Finish line closes, course cleared
- 5:30 PM – Awards & celebration!
Cancellation, Transfer, and Deferral Policy
No Refunds:
There are no refunds issued by the Saddle Hills Ultra or MultiSportsCanada under any circumstances.
Transfers
You may transfer your entry to another participant for an administrative fee of $20.
All transfers must be completed at least 30 days prior to the start of the event.
No transfers will be permitted after this deadline.
Deferrals
Deferrals to the following year’s event are available under the following conditions:
60+ days before the event: 75% of your race fee can be deferred
30–59 days before the event: 50% of your race fee can be deferred
Less than 30 days: No deferrals, credits, or rollovers will be issued
Exceptions:
A full deferral is permitted in cases of pregnancy or active military deployment. Supporting medical or military documentation will be required.
Race entries may only be deferred once and only to the next year’s event.
Refund Protection Insurance
Optional registration protection is available through the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection (RRERP), administered by Protecht.
For a small premium, if you are unable to attend due to covered reasons, you may file a refund claim directly through them.

Event Cancellation by Organizers
MultiSportsCanada and the Saddle Hills Ultra reserve the right to cancel or modify the event—including cancelling stages or changing the route—at any time due to:
Weather condition
Fire bans or closures
Air quality
Wildlife or safety concerns
Pandemic or public health orders
Construction, road access issues
Acts of God or other unforeseen events
In the case of an official cancellation, no refunds will be issued.
All entries will be transferred to the next available date that the event is able to operate.
