My Story…
After 11 years, I’m lacing up again—this time for a 10K at the Edmonton Heartbeat Run on September 20, 2026.
But this run is about a lot more than the finish line.
My heart journey started at 32, when I faced serious heart issues and went through two heart attacks. Just a year ago, I had an ICD implanted to help protect me. It hasn’t been an easy road—but I’m still here, still moving, and still pushing forward.
I wouldn’t be here without the incredible team at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. Their care, skill, and support quite literally saved my life.
That’s why I’m running—to give back.
The Edmonton Heartbeat Run supports the Maz Innovation Fund, helping advance cardiac research, technology, and patient care right here in Alberta. It’s about giving more people the same chance I was given.
Every kilometer I run is for that purpose.
If you’re able to support, any donation—big or small—makes a real difference. And if not, sharing this or cheering me on means just as much.
Thank you for being part of this with me. Let’s keep hearts beating strong. ❤️💪
