Chilltech Beach to Basin

The Beach to Basin originated with the local Athletics Club and has been a cherished tradition since 1978 originally called City to Sea.
Now known as the Chilltech Beach to Basin, It has grown into one of the most beloved fun runs in Northland, drawing thousands of participants of all ages.
The Chilltech Beach to Basin invites everyone to enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and have a blast while connecting with family and friends. While there is a leaderboard and trophies for top placements, the primary goal of this event is to welcome everyone.

Our largest event that we support each year is The Chilltech Beach To Basin, an annual event run in March. This is a fun run/walk run by Sport Northland and is always a fabulous event with plenty of community involvement!
