Volunteer for this event
Volunteer details
Welcome to County Kids of Steel 2026!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for this year's race day. An event like this takes an army of volunteers to put together, and we appreciate you sharing your time with us.
There are a wide variety of tasks we will need help with, from set up and take down, to registration and the finish line, and everything in between!
Some examples include:
- Helping with the sign in / registration process - handing out registration packs, race numbers, timing chips
- Helping the Mighty Minis (3-5 years) through their course.
- Working at water and aid stations.
- Taking off timing chips and handing out medals at the finish line.
- Working as a marshal around the bike and run routes to keep athletes on course
- Helping with the set-up, take down and tidy up.
- Lifeguarding at the pool (National Lifeguard Certification (NLS) & First-Aid Certification Required, 15 years of age minimum)
- And a variety of other event specific tasks!
You'll have an opportunity below to tell us a little about yourself and what roles you are most interested in. Keep in mind, that while we will do our best to assign everyone to a role of their choice, due to race logistics and athlete safety requirements, you may be assigned to a role outside of your choosing. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
More information about your assigned role and responsibilities as a volunteer will be provided in the coming months as we gear up for the event.
