Get ready for an action-packed day of trail racing at Anne Springs Close Greenway’s annual Blue Star Blitz! This event offers something for everyone, from first-time racers to seasoned athletes, with options for a scenic 5K, a challenging 10K and adrenaline-pumping Adventure Races.
Wind your way through breathtaking woodlands, rolling hills and scenic trails as you conquer the courses designed to showcase the beauty and variety of the Greenway. Don't miss this chance to connect with nature, challenge yourself and join a community of outdoor enthusiasts!
Male and Female Top Three Overall will receive medals and prizes.
Medals will be given three places deep in each age group:
- 5k - 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60- 69, 70+
- 10k - 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

The Adventure Races up the ante with natural challenges and exciting surprises, perfect for teams or individuals looking to test their endurance and teamwork.
Family Adventure Race
Highlights:
- Race Type: Family-oriented, short-course adventure race.
- Location: The course stays close to the Lake Haigler (LH) entrance.
- Flexibility: Untimed; families can start anytime between 8:35am and the event end at 1:00pm.
- Registration: Fee is per scorecard, not per person.
- One scorecard per family/group: Pay for one registration.
- Multiple groups or individual scorecards for children: Pay for multiple registrations.
- Age Requirements: All ages welcome. An adult must accompany children under 13.
- Prizes: All participants receive a prize awarded for each completed scorecard. Completed scorecards must be turned in to win a prize.
2-Hour Adventure Race
Highlights:
- Duration: 2 hours max.
- Format: Solo or team (2-4 racers).
- Mode: On foot only.
- Goal: Navigate trails to find as many checkpoints (CPs) as possible within the 2-hour time limit.
- Map: One pre-plotted map per team will be provided.
- Course Length: Approximately 10 miles.
4-Hour Adventure Race
Highlights:
- Race Format: 4-hour event covering ~20 miles on foot and mountain bike (MTB).
- Registration: Solo or teams of 2-4.
- Objective: Navigate trails to find as many checkpoints (CPs) as possible within each stage, observing the 4 hour time limit.

- Bike Drop for 4hr. Adventure Racers - Adventure Road Entrance near the Welcome Kiosk (after you pick up your bibs at Greenway Gateway)
Race Day - Sat. March 7, 2025
- 7am: Parking and Packet Pick-up Open
- Gateway - 5k, 10k, 2hr. Adv. race
- Adventure Road Entrance near the Welcome Kiosk - 4hr. Adv. race (for bike drop)
- 8:30am: 2 Hour and 4 hour Adventure Race Starts
- 8:35am: Family Adventure Race Opens - untimed
- 9:00am: 10k Starts
- 9:30am: 5k Starts
- 9:35am: Hike Challenge Starts
- 1:00pm: Event ends

Registration Policies
REFUND & WEATHER POLICY
Race registration is non-refundable if you did not purchase the Refund Protection Program. Click here for transfer instructions. More than two weeks out you may transfer your race registration to another Greenway race of equal or lesser value. All transfers are at the discretion of the Race Director.
Our events run rain or shine unless there is severe weather. While we never want to cancel a race, in situations such as tornado warnings, thunderstorms, heavy and persistent rain etc., we will need to cancel. Should we cancel you will be notified via social media, our website, and email. Should we cancel there will be no refunds as that money has already been put toward the race.
