THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Rompin' Rockwood. Your selfless act is pivotal in helping us pull off a stellar event for 400-500 trail runners, their family and their friends. The volunteer duties are described below. If you have a preference, please register using the 'Volunteer now' button below. If you don't have a preference, you can use the "I don't care, put me wherever" option when registering. If a role is not showing in the dropdown list, it's because it is full. In the days leading up to the event, you will receive a "Volunteer Guide" that will detail your duties, and what to expect on race day.
RACER CHECK-IN
The check-in is where the participants confirm that they are there, get their swag bag of goodies, and pickup their race bib. The check-in period is on Saturday, May 23 from 6:45am-9:45am.
COURSE SWEEPERS
Course Sweepers act as the ‘caboose’ and make sure nobody is left behind. They also clear the course markings, report medical issues, and because they are at the back of the pack, let the marshals know that they can leave their position. Please only register if you are physically fit enough to hike/run 15-30kms.
COURSE MARSHALS
Course Marshals are positioned at key spots along the route to show racers where to go, and give high fives!
BBQ'ERS
The BBQ will be fired up at 12pm and going strong until 6pm. You will become one of the 'chefs' of Rompin', serving up burgers and dogs to some hungry runners.
FRYING PAN AID STATION
At the Aid Station, you will help runners with their hydration and nutrition. We hope to have two shifts with two people per shift:
- Early Shift: ~7am to 10:30am
- Afternoon Shift:10:30am to ~2:30pm

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PARTY
As a token of our appreciation, you will be invited to a volunteer appreciation party at the end of the year/early next year, so we can celebrate you! Stay tuned for all the details.
