LOCATION: Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La. 70124 * Race day activities held in parking lot behind the funeral home
Parking: Use the Large parking lot on side of funeral home. When this lot fills up you will be directed to alternate parking areas on the north side of funeral home. * Please DO NOT park on streets inside cemetery area with burial spaces as that is part of the run/walk course.
RACE DAY TIME SCHEDULE:
7:15 am - Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup opens on site
8:15 am - Start 1K ( 0.62 miles )
8:30 am - Start 5K ( 3.107 miles ) * USATF-RRTC Certified course - # LA18013DR
Entry fees: * Entry fees shown on registration page include all service charges up front
General Registration ( Age 18-64 ): $30.00 by February 22nd, $35.00 by April 16th, $40.00 Day of race
Seniors ( Age 65-over ) $25.00 by February 22nd, $30.00 by April 16th, $35.00 Day of race
Youth ( Age 17-under ) $20.00 by April 16th, $25.00 Day of Race
Virtual ( Ghost Runner/Walker ) entry: $40.00 ( available thru April 10th ) *NOTE: T-shirt, bib, medallion are mailed out the entrants in the Virtual ( Ghost ) division.
Proof of age may be required at packet pickup / registration kiosk
*Registration available at the pre-race day packet pickup event and on the day of race ( see details below )

Award Divisions & Scoring
Chip timed event. 5K and 1K
Please wear your bib number on Front and visible. Your timing chip is affixed to reverse side of your bib.
Do not fold bib or timing chip. If pre-registered, cross check name on label on back of bib ( should be your name ! )
Custom Finisher medallions ( *if participating in both 1K and 5K, please take ONE medallion only, not each race )
5K Awards: 1st Overall Male, Female in the 5K Open, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior, Youth divisions
Age divisions 5K: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place ages 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-over.
5K Race walkers: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place overall male and female
1K Award divisions: 1st overall male and female and 1st, 2nd place in youth ages 6-under, 7-9, 10-12
Award presentations held day of race beginning at 10:15 am ( awards are not mailed )
RESULTS: Streaming live day of race and posted at www.NOLArunning.com
PHOTOS: Posted on New Orleans Running Systems face book page soon after event.
COURSE MAPS 5K and 1K
NOTE: Cones with directional signage placed throughout. Follow directional signs. Race officials also placed on course at key sections. A Lead Cyclist will be used in both distances.
Safety note: A few street sections have tree roots protruding out into lane pavement. Watch footing. Cemetery built in 1872 roadways narrow. Event is largest Run/Walk held totally inside a cemetery. ENJOY
