The 18th Annual Southern Magnolia will start at Snow Boogers, 1030 King Bee Rd, Perkinston, MS 39573 again this year. A huge thank you to the owners for allowing GCBC to use the space again this year.
Here's what you'll receive at Early Packet Pickup or check in the morning of, as long as you did not choose the "no swag" option:
~ A route profile sticker for the distance option of your choice and bib number.
~ A Southern Magnolia 100 shirt plus items ordered from the SM store.
~ A $10 meal voucher which you may use for a lunch post ride from Big Level Grocery, a food truck, or tasty treats from Snow Boogers. Be sure to hold onto it.

****Important safety notice - all cyclists must wear a helmet and have a red tail light. The GCBC Board strongly recommends all riders have a white front light in accordance with Mississippi laws. As we all know, the weather can impede visability. Bike lights help ensure you can be seen by motorists and other cyclists. Safety first when riding on open roads.****
Southern Magnolia will have 4 amazing route options! One route is just right for all levels of cyclists.
FOUR route options are:
27 miler: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49715901
44 miler: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/55196224
66 miler: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49715876
100 miler: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49761960
The 100 miler will have an 8 hour time limit. If you're not at the 52 mile mark rest stop by noon (the 4 hour mark), you won't be on pace to get under 8 hours for the 100 and will be strongly encouraged to take the bail out, which means you'll go east on Vestry, then take 15 north past Silver Run General Store (formerly Ramsey Spring General Store), continue further north on 15 until you get to King Bee, hang a left and be home free- just 9 miles away from home base (the start/finish at the Big Level intersection). It's critical you take the bail out if you don't get to that stop by noon.

Rest stop locations: (subject to change) The rest stops for the 44 mile route to be added.
1- at the start/finish- 26 mi mark for 100 milers
Food and hydration supplies. All hydration supplies provided by Tailwind Nutrition.
Positioned as close to the 4 way stop as possible so riders don’t have to go too far to find it
2- King Bee and Hwy 15 at the fire station- 18 mi mark for the 27 milers, 9 mi mark for the 66 and 100 milers
Port a potty
Food, cooling towels, and hydration supplies. All hydration supplies provided by Tailwind Nutrition.
3- Red Creek and Vestry- 52 miles for 100 and 22 mile mark for 66, also the pivot point for Burger Bail Out if 100 milers are not there by noon (4 hour mark)
Port a potty
Food, cooling towels, and hydration supplies. All hydration supplies provided by Tailwind Nutrition.
4- North Carr Bridge and Blackwell Farm- mile 44 for the 66 mile and 78 for 100 mile
Port a potty
Food, cooling towels, and hydration supplies. All hydration supplies provided by Tailwind Nutrition.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE - NO DAY OF REGISTRATION! Please register in advance.
Day of Event details:
All riders will need to check in that morning so we know how many people are actually out on the courses that day, planned distance. You are welcome to change your distance, however please let us know that morning.
** So everyone, whether you picked up your packet early or not, please plan to check in between 6-7:30am Sunday morning!!** At check in, we will have several volunteers ensuring a quick process!
Police traffic control and road markings/signage will both be present but limited, so all participants should download routes to their computers, plan to play the route from their RWGPS app on their phone, or carry printed turn-by-turn directions with them. For instructions on how to download routes to your Garmin, Wahoo, or other computer, see the Ride With GPS Help page at https://support.ridewithgps.com/hc/en-us/articles/4419007646235-Export-File-Formats and your computer’s documentation.
Line up instructions:
We want those doing the 100 miler fast to line up in front, medium pace in the middle, easier pace behind them, and then the 66, 44, and 27 milers in the same fashion. We will have a mass start at 8am, but we’ll be striving for everyone to line up in the way described, faster to easier, by route distance.
Check-in will have a hard stop at 7:30am, about 30 minutes prior to starting the event!
EARLY PACKET PICK UP INFORMATION: TO BE ANNOUNCED! Please make every effort to pick up your packet early if possible.
SATURDAY - packet pick up at 1030 King Bee Rd. Perkinston beginning at 6am
