Love the thrill of the race and the crowds on the sidelines? Or maybe your family’s looking for a fun way to be healthy together? Join us for our 1 Mile Run, 5K or 10K!
Whether you’re in it for a new PR, or you just enjoy a brisk walk with all of your friends, this 5K/10K is the perfect event for you. Join us on February 7, 2026 for a mid-winter run, rain or shine. Our race is a gun shot start race with a chip-timed finish line. Results will be streaming live as finishers cross the line. All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal.
Electronic timing and race results will be provided by a timer using chip readers and race bibs. We will use a “Gun Shot” race start. Results will be available on race day. Finish line photos will be posted after the race. 5K & 10K race times are official qualifiers for the Peachtree Road Race for all who run in person. Virtual runs do not count as qualifier times.
Why are we running?
Run for the Son 5K/10K proudly benefits the Burnt Hickory Baptist Radiate Student Ministry International Missions Program. All proceeds for this race go directly to help our students be able to engage in missions both locally and around the world. It also helps to fund the Eric Petty Memorial Scholarship awarded to outstanding leaders in the Radiate Student Ministry.
