Jenn's Story
Jenn’s journey began in 2013 with what seemed like a small, harmless nodule discovered during a pedicure while she was pregnant. Initially diagnosed as a benign cyst, it quickly grew, and after its removal in 2014, doctors confirmed it was actually a low-grade myxoid sarcoma.
After years of monitoring, the cancer returned in 2018, leaving amputation as her only option. Before surgery, Jenn asked her community to “move for her” on the day she couldn’t, sparking a global movement. On March 12, 2018, Jenn became cancer-free, and #moveforjenn spread worldwide.
Just six months later, she completed a 5K, but her journey revealed a major barrier: activewear prosthetics are often not covered by insurance and can cost tens of thousands of dollars.
That realization led to the creation of the Move For Jenn Foundation, which provides grants for activewear prosthetics to sarcoma amputees and supports sarcoma-specific research to improve treatment and find a cure.

The mission of the Move For Jenn Foundation is to offer grants in the form of activewear prosthetics to those who have suffered the loss of a limb to sarcoma or other affiliated diseases. The foundation also aims to find a cure for sarcoma and better treatment options for sarcoma patients.
