Starting time: All distances start at 7:00 am.

The categories apply to both men and women; the age of the participant on the day of the race will be taken into account.

42.195 k Distance.

Free race (18 a 39 años).
Master (40 a 49 años).
Veteran (50 a 59 años).
Veteran Plus (60 en adelante).

Important notice: Only runners who are 18 years of age or older will be allowed to participate in this distance. For runners in the 42.195k distance, it will be mandatory to present a medical certificate stating that they are fit to participate in this distance. Only with this document will they be able to receive their competitor's kit.

21.0975 k Distance.

Free race (18 a 39 años).

Veteran Plus (60 en adelante).

Important notes:

The registration fee is non-refundable.
There is no transfer of rights to another person because the assigned number is personal and non-transferable.

4. Delivery of running kit and competitor's rights.

The running kit will be delivered on Friday 23^th from 9:00 am to 18:00 and on Saturday October 24^th from 8:00 am to 17:00 at the “Antiguo Taller de Locomotoras” located at Av. Gómez Morín S/N. There will be no delivery of packets and numbers outside the times and date indicated.

Route description:

The circuits for all distances are loop type, having as start and finish the same point located at Av. Gomez Morin in front of the Old Locomotive Workshop.

The 42.195k, 21.0975k, 10k and 5k routes are measured by AIMS and endorsed by WA, AIMS, MFAA and AAA.

It is the obligation of all runners to know the route in which they are going to participate; for 42.195k runners, it will be the complete circuit, in the case of 21.0975k, 10k and 5k runners will find the return point indicated.

The results are recognized by World Athletics (WA). The 42.915k course is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.

Awards:

The award ceremony will be held in the presence of guests, media and general public, in which all the winners of all categories of all distances will stand on the podium.

a) Date and time of the awards ceremony.

Sunday, October 25^th 2026, once the male and female winners of each distance have reached the finish line and have recovered. Your presence will be requested at the awards stand through the local sound system.

b) Place of awarding.

Casa Redonda area by the steps of the Tornamesa and Locomotora 40 bridge, next to the finish line arch.

Claims and appeals

According to World Athletics regulations, article 146, claims or appeals of results must be made within 30 minutes after the official publication of the results of each of the distances, being the protest received by the jury of appeals, which will be located in the timing control area at the side of the starting line. Once this time has elapsed, the right to protest is lost.

The protest must be in writing and with evidence, in addition to the deliverance of the amount of $ 100 dlls (or its equivalent in Mexican pesos) which will be returned only if your claim proceeds.

Delivery of economic prizes.

For the security of the winners, the prizes will be deposited in the bank account provided by the runner, between November 15 and November 30 of the current year.

Requirements for the delivery of the economic prize.

Fill out the form that will be delivered in the area assigned for awards, in which a bank account and a copy of valid official identification will be requested.

In case any winner of the economic prize does not have any of the requested documents, he/she may send them by e-mail to premiacion-maratonaguascalientes@hotmail.com indicated in the form for winners no later than November 5th; after this date, no more documents will be received and the right to receive the economic prize will be lost.

For the 42.195 k distance, they will be located at km 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41 and at the finish area.

For the 21.0975 k distance, they will be located at km. 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and at the finish area.

For the 10k distance, they will be located at km 4, 6, 8 and at the finish area.

For the 5k distance, they will be located at kilometer number 4 and at the finish area.

Finish area:

Runners without an identification number will not be allowed to enter the finish area.

Disqualification motives:

Not to wear the runner's number on the front of the T-shirt during the entire competition.
Runners who aspire to a financial prize must wear the number on their chest.
To be ahead of the starting line at the moment the signal is given to start the race.
Not following the marked route.
Unsportsmanlike attitudes with runners and/or judges.
Not concentrating in the starting area.

Important note: runners not wearing the official race number will not be allowed access to the starting corrals, nor will they be allowed to cross the finish line arch.

Judges:

They shall be appointed by the organizing committee and their decisions shall be final.

Any matter not foreseen in the call will be submitted to the consideration of the organizing committee.

Regulation:

Mexican Federation of Athletics Association (MFAA) regulation shall be applicable.

The official time is the time from the starting shot.

Time limit:

For the safety of the runners of the 42.195k distance, the official time limit to complete the route is 7:00 hours. The maximum time allowed will be at a speed of 10:00 min x km. Competitors who cannot maintain this pace will be disqualified and will be asked to board an official vehicle which will take them to the finish area.

During the time limits indicated, the route will remain closed to vehicular flow in whole or in part and will be guarded by Public Safety and Transit personnel. An official vehicle of the event will offer transportation to the finish line to all those runners who are still on the route after this time. Afterwards, the finish line will be closed and the transit of vehicles will be opened. The Organizing Committee is not responsible for the runners who are still on the route.

Checkroom.

A checkroom area is available for all runners.

At the end of the race you will be able to pick up your packet showing your runner’s number in the recovery area.
