Important PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
New 2026 Route: Our 2026 event has more participants than ever! In an effort to improve the first kilometer of the course and remove any bottlenecks, we have introduced a slight re-route. You can download the new GPX file here.
Kid's Race participants: See below for the Kid's Race options. The full route contains a steep climb up a ski hill - if you want to take the shortcut, don't worry, you will still have a fun and challenging course to tackle!
2026 LOTR Route

The Kid's Race Presented by North Bay Physiotherapy has a 2km option and a 1.5km option. Both routes are off-road trail running. Please be prepared with good shoes!
Remember, parents/guardians will only be permitted on-course if they are signed up as a participant. If the parent/guardian is NOT a participant, they should register under the free Parent/Guardian option on Race Roster.
If you have not signed the waiver, you will not be allowed on-course.

Important PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
We're looking at a warm one.
Current forecast for race day is 28°C, and we want to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time on the trail. Here's what you need to know.
What we're doing
We've got you covered at both aid stations on the course:
- Ice and buckets of water with sponges - use them, don't be shy
- Medical staff on-site at each aid station
- Cold drinks at the finish line, courtesy of our sponsors Harmon's and Temagami Dry
What you can do
A few simple things that make a real difference in the heat:
- Start slow. The first kilometre sets the tone. Hold back more than you think you need to.
- Hydrate before you arrive. Don't wait until race morning to start drinking water - begin hydrating the day before.
- Use the aid stations. Both stations have ice and sponges along with water and Tailwind Endurance Fuel. Cooling the back of your neck can be effective at keeping your body temperature down.
- Know your signs. Dizziness, nausea, confusion, and stopping sweating are all signals to slow down and find medical staff immediately. There is no shame in pulling out - we want to see you at future races.
- Dress for it. Light colours, moisture-wicking fabric, a hat.
At the finish line
Cold drinks from Harmon's and Temagami Dry will be waiting for you. Get in the shade, rehydrate, and celebrate.
We're excited to see you out there. Run smart, look out for each other, and have a great race.
- Colin & Tyler
