Look Out! Trail racing - Northern Ontario style!

Now open to registration for our 7km, 14km, Half Marathon, and Kid's Race distances!

Held on the Duchesnay Falls/Campus trails in North Bay, Look Out is a challenging and picturesque course offering rocky singletrack, rolling doubletrack, and a couple of challenging climbs and a panoramic view of North Bay.

The course is a 7km loop completed 1, 2, or three times. On each loop there is a fully-stocked aid station at 3.5km and at the start/finish. Bag drop is available for the full pit-stop experience.

Each 7km loop contains 240m of elevation.

Every finisher will receive a medal, however in order to keep registration costs low and reduce our footprint, there is no additional swag included. We will have a very limited number of Look Out Trail Race hats and mugs available for purchase during registration.

NOTE: This is a cup-free/waste-free event - in order to lower the risk of litter on-course, please bring a collapsible cup or water bottle for re-filling at aid stations. Hold on to your nutrition packaging until an aid station - we will sort and recycle all waste.

Awards ceremonies will happen when the full podium has finished their race


Start/Finish Location:

The Start/Finish is located at the Pond behind Canadore College/Nipissing University at 100 College Drive. Parking is available for free in lots P8 and P7.

Extreme Weather:

In case of extreme weather or dangerous conditions, we will be forced to delay and/or cancel the event. Please purchase cancellation insurance to protect against this as we are unable to issue refunds.

Please note: Registrations are non-refundable. Transfers will be charged a $1.95 fee by Race Roster. Deferrals and Transfers are available until June 11th at 11:59PM.

Please purchase cancellation insurance if you would like to be protected in case of injury/accident/etc. NBRR is unable to issue refunds.

    Our premiere distance: Three loops of our stunning course. This is a trail half marathon on technical terrain, so you're in for several hours of rewarding running! *Note: These are "Trail KMs". Kid's Race

Our Kid's Race will be before the main event - a 2km course filled with lots of rocks and roots offering a true trail running experience. Parents run the course with your kids for free! No firm age limit - but be cautioned this is not 2km in the park - expect ~20mins of jogging and walking! No timing or podium, but each participant will receive a bib and a medal.

All parents who are not already signed up for the 7k/14k/HM must register as a Parent/Guardian in order to enter the course. *Note: If you are signed up as a participant in the 7k/14k/HM, you do not have to add this option. It is only for those who have not signed a waiver otherwise*
