WASHROOMS are located at the Marina directly across the street from our start/finish line. We have additional port-a-johns accessible near the Start/Finish. Please avoid using the port-a-johns located beside the carousel ticket booth.
BIBS
Your bib is your ticket to the race. Make sure that your bib is visible at all times while you are on the course and pinned to the front of your short or shirt. Do not bend or fold the bib or your timing chip may not work.
We have timing mats at the following points on the course: 2.5k, 5k, 10.5k. Your friends and family can track your progress by clicking on the North Bay Road Race 2026 event on Chiptime Results, or scanning the QR Codes at the Start/Finish area.
KID'S RACE
presented by North Bay Physiotherapy
The Kid's Race starts at 8:30 from the Heritage Carousel and follows the Goulet Golden Mile on Memorial. You will run South until Regina and then turn around for a quick sprint to the finish! It is almost exactly one Mile in distance.
We will have a Marshall and barricades at the turnaround and Marshalls along the course to ensure there are no vehicles ignoring our road closure.
The Kid's Race finishers will all be awarded a medal. There will not be timing or prizing for the Kid's Race.
5K/10K/HALF MARATHON
Your bib is colour-coordinated to your race distance. Please follow all course markings and turnarounds based on your distance and colour. There will be arrows marking the turns and pylons splitting the lane in areas of two-directional travel.
The Turnaround Points will be marked by a flag as well as a pylon. Make sure that you pass over the timing mat before turning around the Turnaround Pylon, or your timing chip will not be recorded.
Blue = 5k
Red = 10k
Green = Half Marathon

While Running:
*For safety reasons, please avoid avoid wearing headphones that will prevent you from reacting to your surroundings*
Stay Right: When running in areas of two-directional travel, please stay right.
Passing: When passing, pass on the left when possible.
Pedestrians: While there are several warning signs for pedestrians to be careful and avoid the course, we can't predict everyone's behaviour - be safe and announce your presence when passing pedestrians or dogs who have wandered on course.
Marking: Your race will be marked with Blue, Red, or Green arrows and signs. Pay close attention to your turnaround points - the other runners travelling with you might not be in your race! The turnaround points are pylons with signs that are clearly-marked and colour-coordinated.
Aid Stations:
Aid stations are located at 2km, 4.5km, 7.5km, 9.5km. All aid stations will be available on your return loop as well.
All aid stations will have water and Tailwind Endurance Fuel. Aid stations 7.5 and 9.5 will also have Gu Energy Gels.
Medical/Emergencies:
The weather will be hot later in the day - Make sure to hydrate early and often. If you feel any effects of heat stroke/exhaustion please seek medical attention. Medical staff will have access to water and ice.
DO NOT CONTINUE YOUR RACE if you are feeling dizzy or light-headed. Seek medical attention immediately and contact a Medic or 9-1-1.
We will have medical staff available at the Start/Finish and on-course. If you have a medical concern, look for the large red tent or any of our Medics or volunteers. In case of emergency, call 9-1-1 first.
There is an ambulance with a Paramedic team at the Start/Finish.
If you ever need to reach a race director about an emergency or safety concern, call us:

Beavertails Food Truck: Located at the Shabogesic Lot across the street
The Boat: Eat-in or take-out on the water
North Bay Farmer's Market: Just under the pedestrian underpass by the North Bay Museum
Our Awards will be on a flexible schedule based on finishers' times. Once all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places are finished we begin announcing the podium prizes.
