The Greater Victoria Festivals Society is proud to align with Parkinson Wellness Projects as the Charity of Choice for our Thrifty Foods Victoria Day Parade presented by CHEK.
It is the 126th running of the Parade and the Douglas Mile, now the Victoria Mile will be on Monday, May 18th, 2026.
The Victoria Mile is your opportunity to run or walk and
lead the Thrifty Foods Victoria Day Parade.
NEW ROUTE: Start on the west driveway of the Legislature, proceed up towards the steps and turn Left onto the upper driveway, turn Left on the east driveway towards Belleville, proceed onto Government to Humboldt, Left on Wharf, Right on Johnson, Left on Government to the finish line at Chatham.
START TIME: 8:30 am
Note: Wheelchairs, strollers are welcome. The Goal is to have everyone across the finish line at 9:00 am so you have 30 minutes to complete the Mile.
UPDATE: Refreshments: Will be distributed upon crossing the finish line.
AWARDS: The top 3 medals for men / women will be awarded upon finishing.
There will be a clock at the finish line but the event will not be chip timed. Manual timing will be done and as many times will be captured as possible.

Please support the charity by donating during online registration and/or raising pledges. 100% of all pledges go to Parkinson Wellness Projects (PWP).
Event Details:
Start: Monday, May 18th at 8:30 am
Race Number pick up from 7:30 - 8:15 at the start line (Belleville / Menzies)
PWP participants can pick up their race bibs at the PWP gym during the week of May 11th.
This event is being organized in partnership with the Greater Victoria Festivals Society and Choice Events.
