Parking & Entrance Information

We will be utilizing three gates of the South Carolina State Fairgrounds for the Cocky Trot.

Please note that portions of George Rogers Blvd (between Shop Rd and Bluff Rd) and parts of Bluff Rd from Rosewood Drive to Market Rd will be closed or have limited access starting around 8:30 a.m.

Once parked, participants should walk through Gate 9A to access packet pickup and the start and finish lines.

GATE 6 (Primary Gate - open at 7 a.m.)

Located at 901 George Rogers Blvd, Columbia, SC 29201, this will be the primary entry and exit point into the parking area of the SC State fairgrounds. This gate will be open beginning at 7 a.m. and will close once all participants have cleared the parking lot.

GATE 10 (Entry until 8:30 a.m. and open for exit after all participants have crossed the finish line)

Located at 901 Bluff Rd, Columbia, SC 29201, this gate will be open beginning at 7 a.m. for entry into the parking lot. However, it will close at 8:30 a.m. so the road can be cleared for the start of the race. Gate 10 will not reopen until all participants have crossed the finish line.

GATE 7 (Exit only starting at 10 a.m. with left turn on George Rogers Blvd only)

Gate 7 will be opened starting at 10 a.m. for participants to exit the parking lot and turn left on to George Rogers Blvd to head towards Shop Rd. or Rosewood Dr. following the Cocky Trot.
