- Do I have to travel to the cities and towns on the routes to do my hikes? NO! All mileage will be done at Wildlife Prairie Park.
- How do I sign up for a challenge? Sign up at RaceRoster.com for either the Bobcat 75 Challenge, the Bison 300 Challenge or both!
- Do miles hiked in the Bobcat Challenge apply to the Bison Challenge? Yes! You may log your mileage in both Challenges if you have signed up for both. If you complete the Bobcat challenge and then decide to do the Bison Challenge you may link your mileage from the Bobcat to the Bison.
- How do I log my mileage? Sign in to your Race Roster Account, select your challenge, you will see your participant dashboard for that challenge. Select Add an Activity, this will take you to this page where you will enter your individual code, that was assigned to you when you registered, and your last name. It will bring you to a page to enter the date of the hike, distance and time to complete. Accept waiver and submit. Your Race Roster Dashboard will update after a few seconds. The map on your dashboard lets you see your progress as you move along on an imaginary journey to Wildlife Prairie Park. The Bobcat 75 Challenge starts in Oquawka, IL. The Bison Challenge starts in The Great River Bluff State Park in Minnesota. Both Challenges bring you back to the park.
- What is the leaderboard? The leaderboard keeps everyone’s total mileage hiked so you can see how far you have hiked verses others participating in the Challenge.
- Where do I pick up my shirt? You may pick up your shirt at the Gift Store in the Visitor Center at Wildlife Prairie Park. Show the cashier your registration confirmation and he or she will get it for you.
- Do I need to wear a bib number when I do my hikes? No, there are no bib numbers.
- Do I need to wear a GPS watch to track my mileage? You may track your miles hiked on a GPS based free app as, Map My Walk, All Trails or Run Keeper, or use a GPS watch like a Garmin or Fitbit but all mileage entered on the Race Roster platform is entered by you and on the honor system.
- Are Pets allowed on the trails at Wildlife Prairie Park? Pets are allowed ONLY on the part of the park WEST of Taylor Road and all dogs must be leashed. NO PETS are allowed in the main park on the EAST side of Taylor Road.
- Are there restrooms available? Yes, during the summer months restrooms are located at the Visitors Center, Pioneer Village, the Recreation Hall and the Train Depot. During the winter months restrooms inside the Visitors Center and Recreation Hall are open. A porta-potty is available on the West side of the park.
- Is food or drink available? Snacks and drinks are available all year long in the Gift Store in the Visitor Center. During the summer months the Snack Shack will be open for food and beverage.
- Do I have to be a member of Wildlife Prairie Park to participate? A membership will allow you 12 months of unlimited general admission to the Park. Otherwise you will have to pay the daily admission price each day you choose to hike there.
