Celebrate Spring in beautiful Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Runners and walkers can challenge the flat and fast trail in the morning and then stay for a invigorating day in the park. The event features custom medals for all Runners, fresh pancakes and a "Kids Zone" to keep the young family busy.
This year’s run will support Capillary Wave Community! Capillary Wave Community is a grassroots movement creating powerful ripples in the world of mental health. Born from the belief that healing happens through connection, they are a growing community where people come as they are and leave a little lighter, stronger, and more seen.
Our goal is to raise funds to ensure that everyone in community has access to the support, resources and services they need to become healthier in mind, body and spirit. Donations in support of Capillary Wave Community will be collected by The Rotary Burlington North Foundation, with 50% of net donations provided to Capillary Wave Community following the event.
Rotary Burlington North is a passionate group of people with a strong sense of fun and community service. We undertake hands-on projects locally and around the world to improve people’s lives. We raise funds through events like the Spring into Action Run, with donations going directly to the Rotary Burlington North Foundation, a registered Canadian charity. Over the past 25 years we have raised over 1.8 million dollars to help those in need and strengthen our community.
Your personal online fundraising drive can be set up through the Race Roster Portal. We ask that you make a voluntary donation when you sign-up for the run, or better yet, create a fundraising team and collect donations from friends and family members that support your desire to help Capillary Wave Community and other organizations that do good in our community. Runners and walkers can register online at any time. Please be sure to arrive at least 1 hour before your event if you plan to register on Race Day.
Bronte Creek Provincial Park no longer provides free entry for running events. Admittance to the park is charged on a per vehicle basis. There is no per person charge and no charge for walking or cycling in.

Who are the event organizers?
the Spring Into Action Run is organized by the Rotary Burlington North to raise funds for local causes. New members are always welcome!
Who can participate?
Anyone! Everyone! Adults, children, pets, school teams and corporate teams are all welcome to join a 5K or 10K race. The 1K Fun Run is meant primarily for kids. The 5K Walk is for anyone who enjoys Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Leased dogs and strollers are welcomed on the 5K Walk too!
Do the runs take place on paved road, paths or grass?
All races take place on wide, smooth gravel paths and grass.
What time do the Races start?
The 10K Run, 5K Run and 5K Walk will start at 11:00am. The 5K Walk start at 11:05am. The 1K Fun Run will start at 12:00pm.
What time does Race Registration open?
Registration for all races opens at 9:30am. All runners for the timed events are asked to arrive before 10:00am to ensure we can assign race bibs and get everybody to the starting line on time!
Will the 5K and 10K Races be timed?
Yes, both 5K and 10K runs will be chip timed.
Will there be food and beverages?
Fruit, water and pancakes will be available for Runners and Walkers the morning of the race.
What does it cost enter Bronte Creek Provincial Park?
Unfortunately, Bronte Provincial park has changed their policy towards supporting large events in the park.
Admittance to Bronte Creek Provincial Park is charged on a per vehicle basis. There is no per person charge and no charge for walking or cycling in. The fee covers the use of all areas of the day use side (with the exception of the pool) for one day.

• Disabled Permit (with proof of Ontario Disability Permit): $9.00
• Bus Permit: $62.50

Where should I park once I get into the park?
All participants are asked to go to Parking Lot ‘F’. This lot is located close to the Breckon Shelter where Race registration takes place. Can I stay in the park after the race ends?

Where can I volunteer to help with the events?
We are always looking for eager, able-bodied volunteers to help stage the event. Please contact tomlaube6@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer to help on Race Day. High school students who help us out will earn volunteer hours for their time at the event.
What happens if it rains? Is there shelter at the race?
The Spring Into Action Run happens rain or shine. Although race organizers will use the Breckon Shelter for registration there is not enough room in the shelter to hold all participants at once.
Please come prepared for the day. As they say, there's no such thing as bad weather, there’s just bad clothing!
