2026 Nauvoo Marathon
Nauvoo, IL - Saturday, April 25th at 7:00am
RACE OVERVIEW
The marathon begins at the Carthage Courthouse, passing by Carthage Jail and running adjacent to the 22-mile trail that Joseph and Hyrum rode on horseback when departing Nauvoo. The course travels mostly on paved roads, winding through scenic farmland between Carthage and Nauvoo. As runners enter Nauvoo, they will make their way down Main Street, lined with enthusiastic spectators, and conclude with a post-race celebration at the Finish Line in Nauvoo.
The 2 mile Fun Run will be non-timed and be in Nauvoo.
WHAT TO KNOW
Terrain: Paved with small areas of gravel
Estimated Number of Marathon Runners: 150
Course Support: We will have aid stations set up approximately every 2 miles on the marathon course with porta-potties throughout.
Net proceeds support the Nauvoo Discovery Program which is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.

We will be having a pre-race pasta party at the Inn at Old Nauvoo on Friday, April 24th from 5pm-7pm. You can reserve your seat in advance for $15.00. Click HERE to register!
Tickets will also be available at the door for $18.00.
Our runners AND our supporters need carbs for the big day!
In an effort to ensure that our pasta chefs prepare the right amount - please make sure that everyone who plans to attend registers for the event!

When you finish in beautiful Nauvoo, join us for post-race festivities at the Willard Richards Inn.
After the race, join us in stunning lower Nauvoo, on the Willard Richards Inn property. Take in horse-and-carriage activities...step into the past while browsing Nauvoo's pioneer style buildings...take in breathtaking Mississippi views.
All finishers will receive a custom Nauvoo Marathon medal to commemorate your historic accomplishment!
