Charity Partner

Scouts Canada is a leading youth organization dedicated to helping young people develop confidence, leadership, and life skills through fun, adventure, and hands-on learning. For more than a century, Scouts Canada has empowered youth to explore the outdoors, give back to their communities, and grow into resilient, capable leaders—supported by trained volunteers and a values-based program that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and personal growth.
Your participation supports Scouts Canada’s No One Left Behind (NOLB) program, which removes financial barriers so every child can experience Scouting, regardless of their family’s circumstances. Every year, demand for NOLB exceeds available funds, meaning some youth risk missing out on transformative experiences that build confidence, belonging, and resilience. NOLB subsidies ensure kids can build friendships, learn practical skills, and gain confidence in a safe, inclusive environment.

Race Day
The run begins at 9am sharp, starting with 10k runners followed by 2k and then the 5k about 5 min intervals. The course is all on trails or grass. Strollers are permitted. The course is heading East on Meewasin Trail. There will be two water stations. The first water station will be at the 5k turnaround point and one more at the 10k turnaround.
It is a good idea to arrive 20 -40 min before the start time to get checked in and stretched. When you arrive go to the Black and White Tents to get checked in. To get checked in pull up the registration QR code for quick check in process. If you don't know how to find the QR code don't worry just let us know your name and you will be good to go!
Remember this is a FUN RUN. You are welcome to time yourself with your watch or device. We are running through a public park so be prepared to share the pathway with walkers, bikers and other runners, but be sure to brag that YOU get popcorn after you finish your run!
Important note: There will be dogs and possibly other animals at this event. As our charity for this year is SPCA Shelter. If you choose to bring your pet please be respectful of the other participants. We ask that no dogs have muzzles.
