GENERAL
Location
The event hub is located at the Wilden Presentation Centre, 1881 Hidden Hills Drive.
Parking
Please note that parking is limited. We encourage carpooling wherever possible, and if you live nearby, consider walking or biking to the event as your warm-up. Parking is available on local streets, but please drive slowly and patiently, as it may get busy.
We recommend arriving 30-45 minutes before your scheduled event to allow enough time to find parking and walk to the event site. Parts of Hidden Hills Drive will be coned off for runners, making the road more narrow, but it will still allow for two-way traffic. Please be cautious and drive slowly in this area in particular.
Washrooms
Portable toilets will be available near the start/finish area for your convenience.
Waste Reduction & Water Stations
We’d like to keep our trails and backcountry waste free and limit the amount of waste we produce at this event. We ask everyone to bring their own water bottle or hydration backpack to stay hydrated while on the trails and at the event.
One water refill station will be located about halfway on the 10km course, no water stations along the 5km course.
Plenty of water and a hydration station will be at the event hub near the start/finish line.
Cause
All the proceeds and donations from this event go towards the Wilden Legacy Fund for Youth Mental Health. This fund was established with KGH Foundation and supports projects such as Elevation Outdoors, This Space Belongs to You and the CLARITY Project.
Photography & Videography
Our photo and video team will be on site to capture fun memories from all angles - drones will capture some amazing shots from above. Event pictures will be available for download on this website after the event when ready. The event recap video will be shared via Wilden’s social media channels.

For the 5K and 10K races, we'll award the top three male and female finishers, as well as the top finisher in the non-binary category. And because the dogs deserve their moment too, the top three four-legged finishers will be recognized thanks to our dog run sponsor, Bosley's in Glenmore.
Race Etiquette
- Dogs only allowed on leash for the 5K dog run, starting at a separate time than the regular 5K run.
- No littering on or off the course. If we see a runner leave garbage behind that runner will be disqualified and banned from the race.
- No short cuts.
- Slower runners please yield the trail for other runners to pass.
- Stay to your right when the trail is wide enough to allow faster runners to easily pass and to make room in those section where you have oncoming traffic.
- Drop out: If you need or wish to withdraw from the race, please let a volunteer stationed on course know. This helps us make sure every runner is safely accounted for.
Your Gear
Please keep in mind that the terrain may be challenging. Be prepared for loose footing and uneven ground. Please come prepared with good trail shoes and a water bottle/hydration backpack if you need water throughout the course. Audio equipment of any type is not recommended in order to be fully aware of your surroundings. If you choose to run with headphones, we ask you to have the volume low enough to be aware of your surroundings.
Spectators
Come cheer on our runners as they cross the finish line! We encourage family and friends to bring a lawn or camping chair, and feel free to bring noisemakers.
