The 3rd Annual Veterans in Motion 5K

Taking place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 5 Bridge St, Haydenville, MA. The event begins at 0900 and supports local veterans through registration. It features a 5K run/walk to raise funds for community veteran services.
Join us and run to help support Veterans and our local community by running a 5K or take part in our fun run/walk! We also accept donations!
Please note: Only the first 100 registrants will receive an official race T-shirt. All proceeds will go to helping and supporting veterans and our local community

About American Legion - Post 236
American Legion Post 236 is hosting this race is to raise funds to put our post back on solid financial ground. We, as veterans, have served our country proudly, and now we work to serve our community.
The American Legions reaches out to not only veterans and their families in our community, but to anyone needing help. We provide a safe environment for our kids in the area on Halloween, put on a Christmas with Santa, we serve chicken and spaghetti dinners once a month and deliver to shut ins, we go to cemeteries in our town clean and repair gravestones of our veterans that have been neglected, etc.
We are looking to expand our services any way we can. But need money to do so. We are also looking to bring newly discharged folks coming home from deployments a safe place to come and an organization to belong to. Many times after deployment, vets become lost and have lost their sense of purpose.
The American Legion is just one program that is trying to stop soldier/veteran suicides currently at a rate of 17 a day.
