My Story…
For another year, I’m honoured to be taking part in the Run for Life in support of the Centre for Suicide Prevention - an event that continues to be incredibly meaningful to me and my family.
In 2019, we lost my cousin, Andrew “Boo” Greer, to suicide. Losing Boo has left a hole in our family that will never truly go away. 7 years later, we still miss him, talk about him, and carry his memory with us in so many ways.
Each September, I am honoured to come together with our family - led by my incredibly strong and caring Aunt Cindy (Boo’s Mom) - to participate in the Run for Life in Boo’s memory. It’s a chance to honour him, but it’s not just that… it is also about raising important awareness around suicide and mental health, having conversations that can sometimes be difficult to have, and raising money to support the incredible work being done in suicide prevention.
Every step, every dollar raised, and every conversation matters.
Boo, we miss you every single day. I hope that continuing to do this in your memory helps keep your spirit close and makes you proud. 🤍
If you’re able, I’d really appreciate your support this year. Whether it’s through a donation, sharing this post, or simply taking a moment to learn more about suicide prevention, it all makes a difference.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my family over the years. Your kindness means more than you know.
