My Story…
Running for my brother cause he’s the cutest patootie in the whole world and deserves more support and understanding.
Ever since he was diagnosed, I don't think anyone has ever asked him what is probably the most common question we ask kids:
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
Think about it.
We ask kids all the time: "What do you want to be?" or "What are your dreams?"
But I don't remember anyone asking my brother.
And I wonder why... why not him?
Is it because he's incapable?Or is it because WE’RE incapable of imagining what people with disabilities are capable of?
I don't know what my brother will become… Nor does any parent know what their child will be, really.
But I hope he grows up in a world where people ask him questions instead of assuming they already know the answer.
So I’m running for my brother to help spread awareness and also because I can’t be a forever couch potato 🥰
