The 2026 Wije’wi Run
Kwe’ ! -(Hello)
Glooscap First Nation is overjoyed to announce the 2026 Wije’wi Run
Wije’wi means - "come with me" in Mi’kmaw.
Wije’wi/ Fun Run! This fun event was created in 2019 and initially was inspired by the learn-to-run team and has been carried on this year. The run is a 5k run. This event is open to anyone who would like to participate. The priority is fun, culture, connection, the opportunity for physical activity, and engagement within our community while promoting healthy active living and wellness. Please come on out and show your support and join us in running together into Fall! And most importantly let’s have some fun! We can not wait to see you all there!
The cost is $5.00 per person with all proceeds going to next year’s run. At the finish line, relax and enjoy some BBQ and refreshments with us!
Please note: It is the responsibility of the runners to get a drive back to the starting point. of course, if somebody needs a ride we will assist in any way we can. We appreciate your kindness and understanding.
