2026 Grey Highlands Gran Fondo starts and finishes in the town of Markdale. Routes meander through beautiful Grey Highlands, passing through Walter’s Falls, Bognor, Meaford, Thornbury, and the picturesque Beaver Valley.

Our 26k and 53k routes are beginner- and intermediate-friendly, while the 73k and 120k routes are designed to challenge more experienced riders. All routes feature quiet rural roads, rolling terrain and spectacular views at every turn! Grey Highlands truly is a cyclist’s paradise!

This event is sanctioned by Ontario Cycling and is limited to 500 riders, so register early! Enjoy a great day on the bike and help raise funds to equip the Brighthshores Markdale Hospital.

2K Family Ride

  • The 2K Family Ride is a pilot-year initiative designed to make the Grey Highlands Gran Fondo more inclusive and accessible for local families and young riders. Gather your crew, your helmets and join us for a fun ride through the neighbourhood around Prince Edward Park. Join the rest of the cyclists at the post-ride lunch and family-friendly activities. All children must be accompanied by one adult. To register, add the adult rider first. Create a Team (be creative with the name). Then you can add an additional rider within your registration. Register the child rider. A discount will be applied, so the child rider will be registered at no cost. All participants, including adults and children in carriages or on bike seats, must be wearing helmets. Additional children can be added for $10 by choosing the 2k Family Ride - Additional Rider option.
